The Magic of Perseverance (P50), Friday 14th Oct, 7pm @ Map AV Centre
------------------------------
Filmed by Moabi Mogorosi, the documentary film is about prominent
businessman and former Cabinet minister David Magang. The documentary
gets its title from his autobiography of the same name published in
2008.
The Phakalane Story deals with Magang's now celebrated success of he
and his wife's Phakalane Golf Estate. The other films deal with his
life as a politician (Politics), his family life (The Family) and his
process of writing the book (Penning the Dream).
On Friday 14th October at the Maruapula AV Centre we will be
presenting the first part of this 4 part series of films.
The director Moabi Mogorosi (ABI Films) and David Magang himself will
be available for questions at the end of the 48 minute film.

Toy Story 3 Outdoor Screening @ MaP Football grounds (Free),Friday

Ever experienced watching a film under the stars? On Friday 21st
October, Cherry on Top Events and Maruapula school start the first of
many "Sunset Cinema" screenings.
We kick off with Toy Story 3, its a film for all the family, all you
need to bring are the blankets or camping chairs (and the kids!).
We ask you to be at Maruapula for 6.30pm and we will start around 7pm.
Entry is free but we will be asking for donations which a percentage
will be going towards the Vunerable Childrens Fund that MaP helps
support.
Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase on the night.

Family Fun day Out @ Notwane Dam, Sunday 30th October.

When: Sunday 30th October
Time: 9am – 5pm
Where: Notwane Dam
Please join us for a whole day in a beautiful part of Gaborone. The
idea is to come and relax, bring the whole family. Please bring your
own camping chair and anything you would need to make your day as
comfortable as possible (try your luck at a spot of fishing?).
There will be the following for everyone to enjoy:
- Farmers & Craft Market
- Live Music throughout the day
- Children’s Play Area
- Aldo Brincat presents “Franks Circus Adventure”
- Braai & Picnic spots
- We welcome budding musicians willing to play their music
All that we ask is that for all adults that P20 is paid at the gate,
this money goes into the owners who use it for the upkeep of their
venue and the cleaning after the event.
Come enjoy a lazy sunday at the Dam!
To get there, head on the Lobatse Road, Turn left at the Notwane
turning, and keep on the main road until you get to a gate that says
“Boitelo Sun Resort”. Enter the gate and then follow the road to the
right and you will after a few hundred metres get to the car park for
the Notwane Dam. It’s straightforward but I will ensure that signs are
paced along the way for people to follow.
Security will be provided.
