The costumes designed by ANN GOLLIFER, gloriously pick up the European style of the time and 'translate' it into Setswana with Jeremani prints..

BOYCE BATLANG - Turiddu, a young soldier who finding his lover married takes up with Santuzza out of spite.
LUCKY RAMALOKO - Alfio, the worldly businessman who marries Turiddu's love, Lola.
BAME KOPONG - Lola, Turiddu's first love who marries for money only to cheat on her husband.
MAIPELO LESETEDI - Lucia, the mother of Turiddu and also the local shebeen owner.
