Before .....

and now .....

Kennedy Thal  is an African American singer, songwriter and pianist. Born May 20th 1988 of a Motswana mother and an American father, his music is extremely eclectic, ranging from Classical to Soul, R&B to Blues and Jazz to Contemporary Dance.

Currently based in Botswana, he is working on his second solo production which will be showcased on the 15th and 16th of October, 2010 at the Maitisong Theatre. His first production, “Kennedy In Concert” was the opening act for the 2010 Maitisong Festival. In addition, he will soon go in studio to record fresh material for his website www.kennedythal.com which will be launched in July 2010.

Kennedy plans to go study Sound Engineering, Digital Music Composition and Music Business in New York in the year 2011. He has, since his first public appearance on the KTV Talent Show in 1998, played and sung at many upscale events including the President’s Concert, the St. Valentines Clothing Launch, My Funny Valentine and the Ministry of Finance Summit 2010 to mention but a few. He co-produced and sang on the hit single “Give It To Me” a house song for Owen Rampha’s 2010 record, which was voted number 1 on the Urban Top 60 on RB2.

Kennedy is currently working on his first studio album which he plans to record and release in the United States in the year 2011. In addition, he is part of a three member house music production team which is working on a jazzy tribal-house record to be released in South Africa in the year 2011. His ambition is to one day establish his own record label, “Kennedy Thal Productions” and develop hungry artists from across the globe that have the raw talent and skill but aren’t exposed to the modern world, the arts and entertainment industry and its many wonderful opportunities
