She is an 18 year old young lady born on the 12th day of November 1991.Rose-Marie is a star that began her dream at a tender age..She speaks in a soft voice, which disguises the miracles and wonders that she can do to a song, when on stage..She catapulted to stardom when she appeared on My African Dream in the teen category in 2008 as a solo act “A SINGER”. She auditioned with a Celine Dion number “THE POWEROF LOVE” which blew the judges away, giving her a standing ovation. “I was in tears when they told me that I had made it through, after so many people were turned down.”
Rose-Marie easily sailed through the semi-finals to the Grand Finale held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC).. Where she walked away with the judges choice award in 2008.Rose-marie can remember the night as though it were yesterday as she was interviewed by the Botswana Television Crew as well as Studio 53. She has been living every little girls dream, performing for the President of Botswana, at the President’s Concert last year 2009,with Moonga Kapambwe and did a beautiful rendition of ”HALLELUJAH”,held at Maitisong Lady Khama,Ian Khama Charity Show held at GICC last year (2009)..
She is continuing to make a name for herself in singing, acting and dancing. She was part of a dancing and singing production organized by Mandi Mash at Maitisong to pay tribute to Michael Jackson last year 2009,a few days before his death..She was also part of a Mandi Mash musical production “Shaken Not Stirred”..a 3day show held at Maitisong last year,where she played a role of a beautiful corporate woman. Rose-Marie has been in musical plays throughout her Junior and Senior life, that is from 2005-2009, attaining best female actress in the English Category…
Rose-Marie was previously part of the Mandy Promotions cast which was directed by Edward Moroka and her role was a “Tourist-lady” in “Welcome to Botswana” held at the Btv auditorium…of which she contributed enormously. She was the guest singer in entertaining at the Botswana Secondary Teachers Union (BOSETU) Charity Event (2010)held at the Ditshupo Hall, it was at this same event were she was offered a scholarship announced by the President of BLLAWU, Mr. Pelotshweu Baeng…She entertained the guests with her beautiful voice ; singing Celine Dion’s ‘The Power of Love and ‘My heart will go on’…Leaving her audience pleading for more. As credit for her hard-work and commitment she was invited to be a guest judge at the MAD Teen Semi-Finals this year. Rose-Marie is still proceeding in her commitment and passion of singing that is by exploring more of her talent as she quotes “..being on stage performing is the best feeling ever” this makes her whole and happy.
