🎪 Maitisong Outdoor Festival 2025
Launched in 1996, the Maitisong Outdoor Festival began as a fringe element of the larger Maitisong Festival. Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Culture, its core aim is to take the arts to the people—removing barriers to access and nurturing local talent.
This beloved annual festival transforms public spaces across Botswana with free theatre, music, dance, film, poetry, comedy, and visual arts. All artists featured are proudly Batswana, with performances reaching over 10,000 spectators every year.

The Maitisong Outdoor Festival exists to:

- Provide income-generating opportunities for artists
- Offer platforms for collaboration between upcoming and professional performers
- Reinforce Maitisong’s role as a national leader in arts development
